And now, we need a drag race with Rob Zombie and his Munster Koach.

Ariane could probably summon a ride for such a purpose too...

It gets better!

Strangely enough, Zombie drives one of the Munster Coach's he was allowed to borrow from Harris (I don't know which version, as there is the original model built in 1966 for the tv show, and two later authorized models, and at least one unauthorized copy), while he sings about the Drag-u-la, that was also built for the Munster television show in the 1960ies, but is a complete different car. Anyway, none of those two cars ever belonged to him.
I really liked the original munster show, as I like Yvonne de Carlo a lot, although I hated the later remakes.

Haha! I love it :) Totally something that the Master would do, heh.

Thanks, I am glad you like it, and that you consider this "in character" for him! :-)

Love the "creepy sounding incantations."

Almost as scary sounding as the French cursing! ;-D

I drew Ariane sitting on a restaurant table in the hope that it would halfway line up with whatever one of her dates will actually be - and it seems that gamble actually paid off! (And it seems to be indeed this date, instead of the other one, for obvious reasons... ;-) )

Also, I pondered if I should write an actual French swearword in the first panel... Turns out GeeTee did that in my stead. :-D

And another detail that's an obvious proof of demonic power is the DS being capable of doing a wheelie.... the DS had frontal wheel drive, like it's antecessor.

Uh... well...
In my defense, I did check beforehand if the engine is indeed at the front end of this car (and not at the rear, like in the VW Beetle), so that Babette doesn't open the wrong hood in order to repair it!

In this case, I propose getting a Citroen 2CV Sahara. (Altough these cars are rare, there was a serial production of them.)

Citroen DS 19 Hai (shark). But I fear Ariane didn't get any wine, just a milk shake...
Microraptor 15th Feb 2020, 8:00 PM edit delete reply
Microraptor
Yes, "shark" is very appropriate here... (Unfortunately the half-open hood destroys the silhouette a bit.)

Who needs mechanics when you have magic.
Random: car reminds me of the chomping piano on Mario 64.

Too bad it wasn't a '58 Plymouth Fury (Christine), but being a hardtop we wouldn't have got those reactions!
Jeremy7 15th Feb 2020, 5:57 PM edit delete reply

Or a 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III.

@ Jeremy7: Had to google this one. (Turns out that this car looks familiar, but didn't know it by name.)

@ Lee Lines: Exactly! The DS is far more common as hardtop too it seems - but the characters had to be seen! Also, I wanted it to be a French car, because Babette.

Honestly, I've never seen a hardtop DS in my life (not even on pictures.) At least I saw one of the multiaxle versions a long time ago.
Stilldown 15th Feb 2020, 8:46 PM edit delete reply
Stilldown
Well, long ago, there is a 1958 Plymouth Fury and a Lincoln Mark III (or rather the infamous customcar built for the movie based on that model.) in an earlier valentine exchange.
Cars are already here

Necromancy works on cars too, eh? o_O I'd hate/love to see how he revives a dead computer!

lol, it looks like The Master JUST finished his date with Ariane and she never got up and went to her next one, yet
Stilldown 16th Feb 2020, 8:32 PM edit delete reply

Ariane had to fill in the time between the dates, so there was some lucky guy (not going to reveal his identy here.)

He should seriously consider "car mechanic" as an alternate career part! :-D

When it comes down to it, "having fun" is the most important thing in a date, after all!
